Selside Hall Cottages sit in the picturesque and magnificent South Lakes, in a tranquil location and in its own expansive grounds, complete with tarns and teeming with wildlife, flora and fauna.
You may choose either our cosy 1 bed/1 bath cottage, Thomasin, or our larger 3 bed/2 bath cottage next door, called Selsed.
Both our self catering cottages offer a clean, fresh feel with upgraded fittings, luxury beds and the extra touches that will make your stay in Cumbria that bit more special.

At Selside, we like to think we've gone the extra mile to make your holiday in the Lakes that bit better. When we refurbished the barn at Selside Hall, we insisted on doing it right. Using local craftsmen to rebuild, we ensured we retained the character and charm, whilst offering the best quality self catering acccommodation in the area. Solid oak and natural materials throughout really do enhance your stay.
So not only do you enjoy the simple things done well, such as effective electric instant heating and plentiful hot water but there are extras such as our wood burner in Selsed Cottage (complete with starter pack of logs), quality handcrafted kitchen cabinets and comfortable hotel quality beds.
With high thread count cotton bedding and non allergen pillows you'll enjoy a good night's sleep after a day exploring South Cumbria and beyond. And our comfy sofas are the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
All bathrooms feature top quality chrome fittings and heated towel rails, as well as features from the original building, such as beams, peg racks and hand crafted door locks. Plus you don't have to pack soaps, bed linens, towels etc as they're all provided for you. We even offer the use of a cot and highchair - and of course, decent wifi for those who don't quite want to get away from it all!
You'll have free parking, acces to the garden and shared BBQ area. There's a shared laundry with washer and dryer as well as a freezer. And to help you make the most of the beautiful surroundings, there's access to our own tarn, and secure bike storage with washing facilities.
